A scrap yard is a shop that runs backwards: the customer brings the goods and leaves with the money. Generic retail point-of-sale never fits that. AltScrap starts from the purchase — who sold it, what it weighed, what it graded, what was paid — and everything else follows from that one record.

Photo ID, weights, deductions, payouts, RCTIs and receipts are produced at the counter, at the moment of the sale. Nobody reconstructs them later for an audit, a police request or the accountant.
